MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES ----------------------- When I was a bit younger, I lived in st. albans in a shitty trailor. The trailor park had been built over top of a little bit of burial ground. There was lots of shit that was wierd. Like cold days with extremely warm nights, things happening backwards, and other stuff. I can remember one time, I was in my room and my body had fallen asleep, but my mind hadn't (yes, that's possible you fucking jerk-off) anyways, it was like a dream...but I was awake and couldn't move I could hear things right beside me talking to me. I tried to talk and cry, but I couldn't. I was dazed. it was ahorrible feeling. On my closet door, the wood grain had been made into a type of swirl design and the swirls made two wolf faces. One morning i was fucking around, and I flipped one off and it winked at me and kind of smiled. Most of my wierd shit happened in the morning. I was getting ready for school, and I thought my mom said "Matt!" and i stuck my head out the door, but she wasn't there. I woke up in the middle of the night and I had a baby fence to keep my dog from leaving the room, so I had a rough time climbing over it, me being fat and all. Well, I was half-way over the sumbitch and it was completely dark through-out the whole trailor. The bathroom was right beside me. It was darkest in there. I felt something big breathing on my face and growling a little bit, but I couldn't see anything...and at the time, the dog had been no bigger than mid-shin length. One time I stayed the night at my friend Cody's who happened to live in the same park. I slept on the floor near his closet and I could hear hundreds of people talking all at once from inside the closet...all whispering to me. At the apartment I currently live in, it is said the woods behind winfield are haunted because of the cemetaries. I woke up one night and saw a shadow downstairs in the corner near my doorway. I went down there and saw nothing. I've seen faces in the night that one could only dream about. And as I type this right now, the tv's volume downstairs has increased a great amount...i'm the only one here. Just recently, my friends Jay and Andrew and I went to this haunted house in Sicamore. The first time i went, it was just Jay and I. We were walking around downstiars and heard somethign in the living room of the house. We went in there and it was a bat so it flew off and landed on the floor so Jay went over there and held a lighter to it so he could see...but it came closer to the light. Bats don't do that. The bat eventually tried to fly into Jay's face but he moved away. We proceeded upstairs, and we found some papers. We walked into one of the rooms and he said it looks like a man was sitting on the window seel, but when he lit the papers, it was gone. I turned around and it looked like a white face in this extremely dark room but Jay held with makeshift torch in there and it was gone. We decided to go back downstairs and we went out on the porch and talked. As we were talking,Ii heard something walking down the stairs. We decided to leave and Jay heard a big whoosh sound so we picked up the pace and left. The next time we went with Andrew. Andrew said he kept getting bad vibes as we went into the house. We went upstairs. Andrew and I were talking while Jay was finding some papers. We saw a blue light glimmering on the stairs and out of nowhere it just stopped. Andrew was freaked out a bit. We walked downstairs and out onto the porch and i looked the the kitchen window on the other side of the room and there was a face. The face started to point at me and laugh. I was fucking freaked. I tried to run to the car, but my foot was still hurting from where I stepped on the nail. We started to leave and we heard a bunch of rustling in the bush beside of us so we high tailed it out. We plan on staying the night in the house. It will be me, Jay, Andrew, and Nate. It should be a blast. |

PLACES ====== THE CATACOMBS OF PARIS ---------------------- The catacombs of Paris stretch for 600 miles at 300 feet underground. They are presumably haunted. There are thousands of skeletons and remains of bodies in there. It is said that if you lose your lighting, you're dead. It is so dark, it is nearly impossible to find your way back out if you should lose your lighting. One explorer went down into the catacombs to find things. Well, in the video I saw, the man hadn't said one word throughout the whole thing. All of the sudden he picked up speed as if something were following him. Soon he was running at full pace and dropped his camera. The man was never found. Legend has it that in some rooms of the catacombs, the bones are so stock-piled, you can't even see the floor...and if you were to dig through the bones you would eventually find the gates of hell. | | | |
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE --------------------------- A movie about a strange, urban, canabalistic family whom wields chainsaws and hammers...was actually based a true story. The man's name was Ed Gein. He lived with his domineering mother, his brother Henry, and his father of which his mother wanted to die. They lived in a small Wisconsin home out in the middle of nowhere. Not too many neighbors either. Ed was always a strange man, from childhood to middle-age. The killings happened out of nowhere. Ed's first victim was his own mother. He brutally beat her to death and laid her lifeless body on her bed and locked the door. He was the only one left. With the most of his house sealed up, he would go in there every day and masturbate on his mother's rotting corpse. Later, he found an Igor-esque type servant known as Gus. Gus would go to the graveyard and dig up bodies for Ed because he claimed to want to know how the human body worked. Later on, Ed killed two elderly women; Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden. Ed did strange things with the remnants of his work. Here is a list of which was found in his home after police officials found him and took him in: -Bernice's headless body on a on a hook like a gutted deer -Human bodies were hanging from hooks in the basement -Four noses in a cup in the kitchen -A pair of lips hanging from a string -Worden's heart in a frying pan in the kitchen -Chair covered in human skin -Lampshade covered in human skin -Skulls topping each of the four posts on his bed -A belt made of nipples -Crown of a skull used as a bowl -Refrigerator full of human organs and body parts -A hanging human head -Bracelets made of skin -Table with shinbones for legs -A shoebox with 9 salted vulvas -A woman suit complete with face and breasts Ed had also killed some teenagers, an 8 year old, and some other adults. Everytime he came to babysit for someone, he brough fresh venison...but when he was found guilty in court, he claimed to never have hunted. Ed died in a psychiatric ward in Mendota.

THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT ----------------------- Almost everyone believes that the Blair Witch was just a stupid movie that got lots of media hype...or was it? The story began with a woman in the 1600s named Mary who was convicted of witchcraft and was banned from the village. The village elders tied her to a tree and put a cloth over her eyes. It was the dead of winter. She died soon after. there were many accounts of children dying in the village later. One girl who was out to fetch water with her pail, was pulled into the stream by a mysterious hand. The stream was no deeper than a foot. Neither her, or the abductor were found when the people rushed over to see. There were stickmen floating in the water. In the first movie, nothing out of the ordinary happened while on the set. In the sequel...there were strange things happening. As one of the women in the movie walks around the bed, there are locks on some lockers. when she walks back around, they are mysteriously arranged in the form of a pentagram...when she walks back around, it goes back to normal. in the scene where the owl flies through the window, right after it comes through you can see a screaming face in the window panes that is made by the way the tree limbs are formed. when the same woman in the locker scene and her husband are arguing by a painting, you can see it's normal at first, but when the man walks past it, it shows a woman tearing off a little boy's head. Whether the Blair Witch is true or not, I don't really know, but i'm sure as fuck not going to stay the night in Burkittsville. |

THE AMITYVILLE HORROR --------------------- Vince is Pagan1@pagan1.demon.co.uk IRQ = 4560434 (this was taken from a website) Actor James Brolin is certain there was an evil jinx on the film The Amytiville Horror', in which he starred. He played surveyor George Lutz who, with his family was driven from his home by a terrifying series of demonic happenings. The film was based on the best-selling book by Jay Anson, to whom the Lutz family told their nightmare story. Brolin said: "On the first day of filming I stepped into the elevator in my apartment block and pressed the button for the lobby floor. Before we'd gone three floors it shuddered to a grinding, screeching halt, the lights flickered and I was plunged into frightening darkness. I screamed for help but nobody could hear me. "It was an eerie, frightening experience. You imagine all sorts of hair-raising things in the silent darkness. My pleas bounced back like an echo. Those 30 minutes seemed an eternity". The jinx hit again the next morning. "I'd been on the set less than one minute when I tripped over a cable and severely wrenched my ankle," said Brolin. "I hobbled around in pain for days." The film recorded the horrifying events experienced by George and Kathleen Lutz and their three children after they moved to Long Island, New York to a house which had been the scene of a multiple murder in 1974. Ronald Defoe, 23-year-old son of a wealthy car dealer, had drugged his parents, brothers and sisters at supper and at 3.15 am, he stalked from room to room shooting each victim in the back with a rifle. He claimed in court that "voices" had ordered him to commit the crime. Defoe was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences. For the Lutzes, the house's macabre history gave them the chance to buy a dream home at the bargain price of $80,000. Seen in the bright light of day, it was a beautiful, three-storied colonial-style residence, set on a well-kept lawn which sloped gently down to the bay, and its own boathouse. In the small, middle-class community of Amityville it was a showplace. Soon after the family moved in they asked the local priest, Father Mancuso (played in the him by Rod Steiger) to bless the house. Author Anson wrote: "The priest entered the house to begin his ritual. When he flicked the first holy water and uttered the words that accompany the gesture, Father Mancuso heard a masculine voice say with terrible clarity, 'Get out!' "He looked up in shock, but be was alone in the room. Who or whatever had spoken was nowhere to be seen". For the first two nights in their new home, the Lutzes were awakened by strange noises at 3.15 am. But the real horror began on the third night. As usual George Lutz checked that all doors and windows were locked before going to bed. The noises roused him again at 3.15, and this time he went downstairs to investigate. He could not believe what he saw. The heavy, solid-wood front door had been wrenched open and was hanging by one hinge. With mounting terror he realized it had been forced from inside the house. The thick steel doorknob spindle was twisted, and the surrounding metal plate had been forced outwards. >From then on, the house seemed to have an evil life of its own. Windows opened and closed at will and a banister was wrenched from the staircase. Two weeks later after the front-door incident. George woke in the night to find his wife Kathleen floating above the bed. George pulled Kathleen down by her hair and switched on the light. He was looking not at his attractive young wife, but at a hideous vision. Kathleen caught a glimpse of her reflection in a mirror and screamed: "That's not me. It can't be me.'" Her appearance changed slowly back to normal over the next six hours. A few nights later Kathleen was in the sitting room with George when she looked up and saw two glowing red eyes at the darkened window. She and George hurried outside and found strange tracks in the snow. Kathleen told Anson: "The prints had been left by cloven hooves - like those of an enormous pig." After only 28 days the Lutzes fled the dream house that had become a nightmare. As they hurriedly gathered a few belongings, amid a series of unearthly noises, green slime oozed from the walls and ceiling and a sticky black substance dripped from the keyholes. Because of the curse, the film men dared not use the actual house. They found an almost identical building in New Jersey. They knew only too well of the frightening things that had happened to people connected with the story. A photographer went to take pictures of Anson immediately after photographing the Amityville house While he was in the author's home, his car caught fire and billowed orange smoke as it stood empty with the engine switched off! Anson himself told of terrifying events linked with his book. He said: "A woman to whom I loaned some early chapters took the manuscript home. She and two of her children were suffocated in a fire that night. The only item in the apartment that was not damaged by the fire was the manuscript. "Another man put the manuscript in the trunk of his car and attempted to drive home. He drove through what he thought was a puddle. It turned out to be a 12-foot-deep hole into which his car slid. When the car was fished out the next day, the only dry object in it was the manuscript. "And when my editor picked up the completed manuscript at my office his car caught fire and he discovered that all the bolts on his engine had been loosened." Anson himself suffered a heart attack, and his son and friend were nearly killed in a car smash. The Lutzes are today alive and well in California, and planning another book about their experiences. Their Long Island house of horrors is now owned by James and Barbara Cromarty. They say the place is not haunted. Whatever the truth, the movie The Amityville Horror, will remain a chillingly realistic record of paranormal events. Director, Stuart Rosenberg says that he would not have taken on the project if it was just another horror film. He insists, "My first reaction was that it wouldn't be my cup of tea. But I read Jay Anson's book - and it had the ring of truth about it." I would appreciate details on the Lutzes retraction, also on Brolins comments and Jay's not to mention Stuart Rosenbergs comments... I do not say that they have not retracted.. merely ask where this retraction might be found, and is it a dependable source or just some skeptic's say so? THE EXORCIST ------------ The story began in Maryland on the evening of January 15, 1949, when 14-year-old "John Hoffman" and his grandmother heard strange scratching and dripping noises in their house. No explanation could be found for the noises, which stopped after ten days, only to be replaced by mysterious footsteps and drumbeats. After John's Aunt Dorothy suddenly died, the poltergeist-like phenomena increased - with John's mattress shaking violently, food flying through the air and furniture falling over. John and his parents tried to communicate with the poltergeist, which at the time claimed to be the spirit of Aunt Dorothy. TALKING SKIN Then, in late February, livid red marks emerged on John's skin, taking the shape of actual words. After neither physicians nor psychiatrists could find anything wrong with John, his parents, although Lutheran, consulted a Roman Catholic priest. His recommendations of prayers and holy water only seemed to aggravate John's condition. John's mother took him to St. Louis, hoping things would calm down. But the manifestations intensified. "Father Lawrence," a Jesuit priest, came to visit John in St. Louis, saying prayers over him and pinning two crucifixes under his pillow. After he left, one crucifix propelled itself across the room and the other moved to the foot of the bed as the bed shook violently. BEGIN THE EXORCISM On March 16, the Archbishop of St. Louis gave Father Lawrence permission to begin the formal rite of exorcism. During the first night of the ritual, marks appeared on John's skin 30 times -- including the word "Hell" and a portrait of a Satanic visage. The 45-minute ritual was performed several times a night over the next week. John's responses became increasingly rabid, including screaming torrents of profanity and foreign words, violent seizures and uncontrolled urinating. With the parents' permission, John was converted to Catholicism. But his responses to the rituals only became worse. The disturbances suddenly stopped on March 26. Father Lawrence believed John's possession was over. "I AM ALWAYS IN HIM" However, they began again on March 31, with John's behavior during the rituals getting even more violent. "I am always in him," the demon said through John's lips. After more days of no progress, Father Lawrence read about an 1870 case of possession that provided a key to exorcising the demon. On the night of April 18, he forced John to wear a chain of religious medals and hold a crucifix in his hand during the exorcism ritual. When Father Lawrence commanded the demon to declare itself, John exploded in a violent spasm of amazing strength, needing five men to hold him down. At 11 p.m., John suddenly interrupted the ritual by shouting, "Satan! I am St. Michael. I command you, Satan, to leave his body now!" After then enduring the most violent spasms yet, John uttered, "He is gone" and suddenly returned to normal, breaking into a smile. AFTERMATH John grew up to live a normal, happy life, with no recollection of his "possession." William Peter Blatty, then a student at Georgetown University, read about John's story in the newspapers. The story stuck with him and 20 years later he fictionalized it to create "The Exorcist."
