Well let's see. This was a very fun show. Other than previous barn shows, this would have to be the best. The night started off with Backfat, a Hurricane based hardcore punk band. Playing songs of thier own as well as one from the Misfits and Rancid. They got everyone into action. The Desguise played next, with hit songs such as "Our Desguise","Leanne" (note sarcasm), and a Ramones cover song of Blitzgrieg Bop. Me and my pal Ryan slowly started a lame pit as members of Backfat and other random people joined in. Pastor Jim played next, and did a very good job. They had thier own cover of Sweet dreams are made of these Which made people go fucking ape shit, including myself. After they were done it was another brief intermission, but I guess the mosher kids couldn't contain themselves so they brought it to the streets and this one like 12 or 13 year old kid got his nose busted all up and bled eveywhere. But to no avail, he again joined the mosh/skank-ring that started as ska local legends 69 fingers played, which created a total ruckus. I comemerate that fellow. (I think his name is Bob or something) as being the most hardcore "sumbitch" there. Cheers to all for a great saturday show! ------------------------------------------------------------ 05.13.01 AMERICAN LEGION POST #20
This was an awesome fucking show. Backfat, Syndrome,Suteck Conspiracy, Transistor Indiana, The Desguise, Point System, and Lauren Hospital played. Backfat played songs by the Misfits and Rancid and also started a 3 man mosh pit between me , Jon, and Matt knight. It was pretty cool. This big guy in a batman shirt knocked me on my ass, but it was cool. Syndrome played next, which sounded a lot like New Found Glory or Blink 182. Lauren Hospital played next and they were decent. They are Ohio emo :'(. Point System played next and they were heavy metal :'(. The mosh was insane and hard to keep up with. I got thrown into a pole so it was definetly fun. Suteck Conspiracy played after that, an indiana-based scream-o band. They were ok. Tranisistor Indiana played next and got everyone to dance. It was fun... I guess. The Desguise played last, seeing as this was there last show, so I filmed it. They only played 3 or 4 songs, but they were good. It ended at like 1 in the morning, but i got a chance to meet the guy who owned "skaters for skaters"... he's pretty cool. He's also in the band "No Allegiance". Well until next time fiends. ------------------------------------------------------------ 05=24=01 HURRICANE COMMUNITY CENTER
Yeah this show sucked. Only about 20 people showed up and usually it's like 50 or 60. The music wasn't too bad though. Gumshoe played first. They're a charleston ska/pop punk band. They did a good cover of "When i come around" by Greenday. Major props(not really). Malfunction played next. they were ok, but I found myself running outside to go do a front flip on the ground, and nate coming to tackle me. Fun fun. Neutral Agreement played and they did an excellent job. That kid Bobby that got his nose broke at the Hurricane show before, got his skateboard broke by Jon this time. He was pissed. Hahaha. Well, some old weird lady came over and said she would call the cops if they didn't stop skateboarding which is bullshit. Where the fuck else are they supposed to skate you fucking moron?! Stupid West Virginia bullshit. Well, Nate and I left early due to severe sucking of the show so I stayed at his pad. THE END ------------------------------------------------------------ 06|08|01 AMERICAN LEGION POST #20
This show was fun, but there was no mosh pit. Only preppy ass fucking trendy skankers. Holden Caulfiled played first and they sucked. They were heavy metal and sucked. The lead singer said, "Who wants to listen to punk all the time?" what...the...shit...I WOULD! They did a good cover of some old-school Misfits song though. I hung out with Josh, Rachel, Meredith, Haley, and Selena just about the whole time. Meredith was like the only one that I talked to for like the whole show. She's cool. We were talking about how stupid little emo kids try to look depressed all the time and how funny it would be to spill some water on the floor to make a those trendy douche bags fall down. Dr. Teeth and the Electik Mayhem played next. They were ska as nuts. Transistor Indiana played next and did a good job as usual. I also got a bunch of free stuff:) Free stuff is cool, but Bruno is an ASSHOLE. 69 fingers played next, (this was thier cd release party) all of the people mentioned above including Ryan (Haley's boyfriend, not Ryan Trimble) went outside and played bad mitten. He is cool too. Well I left at 11:00 and I was supposed to leave at 10:30 and my mom was out in the parking lot for a half hour. As soon as I got in she starting bitching like usual and threw my leather bracelets out the window. That asshole. Well, I guess until next time... ------------------------------------------------------------
07|06|01 JOSH'S BARN SHOW IN HURRICANE (3)
Yeah, the 3rd barn show. It was fun, but not as good as other ones. Well, seeing as how I got there before the music started, I thought it would be nice if I went around and said hi to everyone, because I have'nt seen anyone all summer. I saw some people I thought I would never see again. Well, the first band was sarasota. This was their second show and they did well. Their music was good and they did a cover of an Ataris song. Andrew also introduced me to Jay and Joe. You may know Jay as Jay Thomas, formerly of No Idea (another pop-punk local band.) They were cool. I slapped Josh around a little too, but he deserved it =-O Then Subject To Change played next. They were awesome. It was hardcore christian punk. The guys were cool because they didn't shove their religion down everyone elses throat. They were cool guys as well. Robbie, Hozay, John, Matt, and me started a small ass pit. It was looking pretty shitty because no one joined. Then, this rather large girl came over and screamed and moshed with us, and I elbowed her real hard and it had no effect:^( So, she grabbed Robbie and hit him in the back repeatedly saying, "DIE DIE DIE!" and grabbed him by the throat and swung him around. Poor guy. Garrett, Derek, Brenton, and Brenton's friend from Ohio, Jeff came down. Garrett didn't want to fight, which was cool. Where There are Ghosts played next and I stood outside talking to Andrew, Amanda, Ryan, and Chrissy because emo sucks. Yeah, that Dusty dude talked too much. That big girl got right outside the window so everyone could see and pressed her taffy or gum or whatever the fuck it was up against the window and left a rather nasty mark :^( then this guy in a Black Flag shirt came over and talked to us. He was cool. He was talking about hom much he wanted to beat the shit out of that girl. After that, we went around back to the bird shit covered table and talked so I told ryan to get in this metal-tub thing so I could roll him around. It didn't work too well because it was lopsided and he hit his head and fell out. Ryan and I saw a deer down by the woods and went after it and sargent Fred god damn Durst the bouncer said "Hey, you can't go down there." I wish he would fuck off. Lauren Hospital played next and they were'nt as good as the first time I heard them, but all the little emo kids got into it. Transistor Indiana played and I had to go. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted... ------------------------------------------------------------
01[30[02 The Brickhouse in St. Albans
Well, it was a pretty good show. Hart, Greg, Chrissy, Amanda, Chloe, Selena, Rachel, Garrett, Rachel S., and some other cool people were there. It started at 6 and I missed the first band. Out of Nowhere (formerly Subject to Change) played and I must say, they were pretty good. They even did a tribute song to Spongebob which was excellent. Rachel's brother Ryan is in that band (formerly from Shinobi) and he plays some good bass. Hart and I did some fight club action outside and it was pretty fun. Smoked a cigg, had some laughs, and talked. It was great. Some shitty asshole emo band played next (Rosewood Lane) and they were total dicks to Andrew because he asked if he could use their drums and they gave a smartass reply. Fucking assholes. So Jay and Dunlap had to go fetch his drums. 5th year senior played next and they were real catchy. The drummer was similar to Travis from Blink 182. The Sarasota played. (Andrew, Jay, Dunlap, and Josh) They did pretty good, but messed up a little. That was their frist show in 5 months and their3rd show all together. Then Steve's new band from Subject to Change played. They were slow, but good. Steve is an awesome drummer. Well, after that Jay gave me a ride home and bought me some ciggarettes and then I arrived home to masturbate profusely and fall asleep on the couch. Fun fun. ------------------------------------------------------------

HURRICANE CITY PARK
It was rainy, but fun. Me and Fish hung around until all the technical shit was set-up. We got stoned, and had a great time. I saw people there I haven't seen in a long ass time. Crime Against Humanity played first. They weren't to bad I guess. They were fast punk type shit. The Heartbreak kids played next. I really liked them. I thought they were good. They did a good cover of "Sheena is a punk" by the Ramones. They were real poppy. My good friends Sarasota played next and did a lot better than the Brickhouse show. Good job fellas. Of course Dunlap's wise-cracking ass spilt out some famous sarcasm, but it was cool. Firedrill played last. They're an upcomming band that has been around for about 6 months. I'll admit, I wasn't too crazy about them at first, but they love what they do and have fun doing it. All in all, they're not too bad of a band i suppose. Give them a chance, you might like them. It was an alright show all together. Until next time.

This show was fun. Some acoustic crap played first and I didn't hear it, so we'll move on. Burning Winter Skies played next. I didn't like the kind of music they played, but they were real energetic. I got into the pit and busted my ass. Crazy Haired Evan kicked Robbie in the face by accident. Poor Roberto. They did a good job. Shindig played next. Yahhhh! Pedophiles who try to hard!WHOOO! Their music wasn't too terrible, but they just try too damn hard. Allaince For Progress played next. I really liked them. I got into the pit once again. So much ass kicking. The lead singer broke a string, so they had to stop for a minute to borrow a guitar. But they did well. Then my boys Sarasota played. They did a lot better than the previous Dickhouse show they played. BRICKHOUSE! BRICKHOUSE! Why can't I get that right? Anyways, I rocked out with my dock out, so it was fun. Major props guys.

Garrett's house
It sure was fun. Firedrill played first and did so much better than the last time I saw them play. They did a fucking great version of Stupid Kid by Alkaline Trio. We really got into it and was jumping around and shit. The Assholes played next. (Sarasota minus Dunlap, plus Garrett) They were fucking great. They made up all their songs before the show, and had a blast. I sang a song with them too. Well, there were only two bands, so I guess this is over besides the party, which you can read about on my journal.

This show kinda sucked. Most bands cancelled, and only Sarasota and a hardcore band (Turn Around Norman) played. Sarasota fucked up alot....but they were still good. They played the usual ear pleasing tunes. All the regulars we're there. Garrett, Chloe, Chrissy, Amanda....so forth and so on. It was swell. Then Turn Around Norman played. I didn't like them, but i'm sure there were some that did. Their lead singer seemed somewhat of a bulldyke that could kill you in an instant. Well that's about it.
